Scrappy Quilt Finished

This morning found me doing this:

I sewed the binding on my Scrappy Quilt and for the first time ever, I machine sewed, instead of hand stitched the binding down. It's a Full size bed quilt with a 10" drop and quite honestly, I was just ready to get er' done!

It's done and at home is our upstairs guest room:
Aughhhh.....feels good to have it finished!
With BIG smiles,
Val:)

  1. It looks very homey and comfy. I would love to sleep under a quilt I made myself. I should get to doing that one day.

  2. Willit...Thank you. THIS is the first quilt I ever made for our house! LOL!! I just love making quilts for our family..and I keep giving them away. (I just love the idea that all my family is wrapped in a quilt!) So this year I made a goal to make two bed quilts for our home. One down and one to go!

  4. I love your quilt Valerie! And I just sewed two quilt bindings by machine for the first time. A baby quilt then a bed quilt! I really like the method that I used and will probaly do most of my quilts this way.

  5. Thanks Jan! I know...I think I'll continue to hand bind the smaller quilts...but for the larger ones...I'm machine sewing them. Whew!

  7. I'm impressed that you did the binding on the machine. I still have not been able to conquer that particular skill.
